Our first Shakshuka

It's not easy to get Shakshuka in Malaysia. This Jewish dish is well-known in Israel, and if you visit Israel on your pilgrimage, they say you should at least try the dish once! It is like someone visiting Malaysia and never even tried Musang King durians!

Musang King is famous in Malaysia

Today (July 10, 2022), after two weeks being introduced the dish by a friend living in Israel, my daughter and I decided to give it a go.

It's not difficult. However, it would be great to have an extra pair of hands to help prepare the ingredients.

The secret to this recipe is what the lady in the video below said -- be generous with the spices. You can use any other spices that you choose. Spices give the dish a fragrant aroma.

I shall not steal the thunder from the lady who shared the recipe on Youtube below:

Let's see who else is trying out the Shakshuka for the whole family:

"Made this Shakshuka for lunch and it was really delicious! Nothing is left!"

1st attempt Shakshuka, spicy n delicious. Tq bro Stephen

-- Jennifer Lee (16 July 2022)

Inspired by Jennifer Lee's attempt today, this is my second attempt at Shakshuka (16 July 2022). It tastes a lot better than the first one, except that I should not cook the parsley even for half a minute.

"I cooked Shakshuka today. It was a hit with my family. The egg is hidden under all that tomato! 😊" - By Kamala 20 July 2022
